Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the CALPHAD XLVII Meeting (Juriquilla, Querétaro, México), it is my great pleasure to distribute the official First Announcement (attached) of the conference. The official Conference Website is located at: http://cidesi.com/calphad/ index.html
The CALPHAD meeting will take place in Juriquilla, Querétaro, México from May 27th until June 1, with an optional extra day for a tour to the Teotihuacán Pyramids Archeological Site, which is one of the most impressive pyramid complexes in the world. We are also planning a very enriching and enlightening cultural program for accompanying persons.
The scientific program will focus on state-of-the-art theoretical, computational and experimental work on CALPHAD, CALPHAD-related frameworks and their application to the solution of scientific and technological problems. We will also include a series of optional (and free) pre-conference workshops on CALPHAD-related tools.
Access to Querétaro is rather easy, with many direct flights from Dallas and Houston (and other cities in the US) as well as from Mexico City.
Thanks to the generous support of our many corporate sponsors, we have been able to make the conference especially affordable to students and junior scientists, with full as well as partial scholarships.
We hope to make this a very successful meeting, but this will only be possible with your participation. Please come, share your work and get to enjoy a bit of what México has to offer! Registration is already open!
Los esperamos!!!
